What BetChecker knows
BetChecker has no independently checked win-loss record for Vegas Dave. A record you see in an ad or on a sales page is the seller's own unless someone outside the business verified it.
In 2017 David Oancea, who sold betting picks and consulting as Vegas Dave, was indicted on 19 federal charges over giving Las Vegas sportsbooks Social Security numbers that were not his, Casino.org reported.
In May 2019, after pleading guilty to one federal misdemeanor records-keeping charge, he was sentenced to three years of probation, which included staying out of Las Vegas sportsbooks for three years, gambling addiction treatment and 150 hours of community service. He also agreed to a $550,000 civil forfeiture. That is according to World Casino Directory, citing the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
None of that is a record of his picks, good or bad. BetChecker has not independently checked the results of any picks he has sold.

Know what you're buying
You probably have a reason for every bet. Keep it. We do not judge your pick.
We check one thing: what you are paid, compared with the chance it wins. A big payout is not a good bet. A big payout for the chance is.
Follow whoever you like. Premium keeps score. A year of Premium is $59, about what one month of a typical pick service costs. Pick services we looked at charge $20 to $100 a month, and the middle is around $45.
Do the math on a tout’s fee
Your bet size
Bets a week
Tout fee a month
Your tout has to win 62 of every 100 picks just for you to break even.
With no fee it is 52 of 100, at the standard price (−110). The fee adds about $4.62 to every $25 bet. Your real prices change these numbers a little.
Before you pay, ask
1.
Can I see every pick, with the date it was posted and the odds at the time?
2.
Has anyone outside the business checked that record?
3.
What is the record after the fee I pay?
4.
What odds do the results assume? A pick at -110 is a different bet at -125.
